Bilfinger Berger supply chain payment approval

Bilfinger Berger UK Ltd are the UK arm of a leading German building concern.

Based on a need to streamline and control the approval of payments to contractors and suppliers, Conseq delivered a system that automates the approval process from initial request through to actual payment. With the new system site managers in remote locations can create and submit requests for payment directly into corporate headquarters, reducing payment delays and ensuring complete data security.

With increased accessibility to a complete set of supplier data and easy to use easy to use forms that check data for accuracy and consistency as it is entered, the system ensures that each request for payment is submitted on time and backed up with the correct information, including documentary evidence of the suppliers credentials.

Time based email alarms ensure payments are not delayed in the approval cycle and auto-fail over to back-up approvers ensures consistently prompt action where individual approvers are not available.

For the distributed and mobile approvers the Lotus Notes based distributed database enables easy off line working with integral replication to synchronise data via dial up or network connection.

The system is now in use across all Bilfinger Berger UK construction sites in the UK.
